Trouble-Free Marketing

GIOSI is a merchant, not a broker. GIOSI can arrange, and pay for, trucking from your farm to the elevator. Once the grain arrives at our facilities, we assume full responsibility for the care, handling, cleaning and shipping of your grain. We provide dedicated elevator cleaning and storage facilities at Lang, Wilcox, Wolesley, Kipling and Prelate Saskatchewan.

Payment on the Ramp

GIOSI is licensed and bonded through the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC). This means that all GIOSI transactions are secured by the Government of Canada and producers are guaranteed they will receive full payment for their products. When your grain arrives at a GIOSI elevator, it is weighed and a standard dockage test is taken during unloading and a sample is kept at the elevator. Payment is made upon delivery and assessment of quality and dockage.

Available Contract Options

GIOSI has provided producers over the years with forward and spot contracting options for most major grains grown organically in Western Canada. Contracting options will vary with the market and you are therefore requested to check with GIOSI’s purchasing team to see what contracts are currently available.
